Lack of facilities has alot to do with no underage teams. Before you could get a field , cut it and fire up goals , now its planning regulations for this and planning for that.

Cork Football needs the AUL, it is the best option for 1 or 2 team clubs. The standard is way better than people give credit for. Coachford are the stand out, I hope they stay AUL personally. I guarantee you there are as many clubs in AUL right now motivated by reaching Coachford levels as there are clubs hoping they move on and make it a tad easier for them. There are up and coming clubs in the AUL that will be giving Coachford a run in the next couple of years, I truly believe that. Waterloo, Banteer, Mallow, Cathedral, Grattan will come again. The AUL can be better of course but its not all doom and gloom like!

Good seasons for plenty of other clubs through all the divisions. Banteer winning back to back leagues, Rebuild done at Waterloo winning a treble, Cathedral a double, Mallow winning the league and final of AOH. Only 1 premier side in the semi final of AOH this season with those other 3 mentioned in it. Hopefully other teams can build this season to try and get a stronger AUL that everyone wants.

Why don’t more clubs have team’s in MSL and AUL like what castleview do? I do wonder if there could be more of joined up effort with the leagues in cork to maximise facilities.

SeanKelly the rumour was that both mallow utd and mallow town are entering new teams into the aul, mallow town entering a b team and mallow united entering a junior team into the 3rd div, much truth in it ?

Coachford should move to the CBL. They will at least get a better challenge there.

A below par Doolans Cow team held them to a draw this year in the Junior Cup and they’ll be relegated from the CBL Premier.

They’ll still win the majority of games but at least it would be competitive! Not many of the Premier teams would survive in the CBL premier. Sad day that the CBL is a higher standard than the AUL!

The AUL is rotten from the core. You’ll never have progress with the management committee currently running the league.

How has there not been a vote of no confidence in that committee?! We all complain for years and watch it burn before our eyes, yet we do nothing about it!

It’s time to stand up and take back the AUL!

Official Club Statement:

Just to confirm that the DiarmuidGV has been set up to imitate Diarmuid from Grange Vale and to cause trouble between our club and Doolans Cow and also the AUL.

Grange Vale respect Doolans Cow and all they have done over the years - we had a great game recently with them.

The club also acknowledges that it had many great years in the Cork AUL.

Itis just stupid carry on by somebody with nothing else to do but stir trouble.

Nothing to do with anybody involved with Grange Vale or Diarmuid.

Cork AUL awards /Coachford awards. No wonder the AUL is muck. No other team acknowledged. All the dinosaurs on the committee who didn't go to one game this year. They deserve all the criticism they get

Get an interim group together to run a short season from September to December and all the teams join the CBL in January.

Hearing Castleview moving to MSL Jnr with another Jnr team as they cant get players willing to play in AUL Prem, Sounds silly but nothing surprising, The Snr team supposedly very strong this season,

Donoughmore i heard are gone with Grattan B gone aswell and Knocka and Grattan A seem to be weaker overall. Leeds raiding all the Jnr teams, Leeda beat Coachford in a game Tuesday gone,

Tough times for the AUL if this is true but i dont believe much gossip until the seasons start
