Anonymous25 sometimes it’s the clubs force their hands. I know people here think the AUL committee run a dictatorship but they do try and accommodate clubs as much as they can.

Roversreturn I suppose it means if you are struggling for the first half of the season, once the 11 are split 6 and 5, then the bottom 5 will still have a chance to win something.

Roversreturn it’s shorter than the other 3 divisions, 14 and 15 games.

Is there a risk of teams trying to land in the bottom section if Coachford are running away with the league early doors? Either way credit where it is due to the AUL in that they`ve tried something to spice it up at least.

No consistency, Mallow Town and Shandon Celtic started in Div 3 as they were new clubs.
Glen Hibs (and previously Blarney St) go straight into Div 1.

AULad The majority of that Glen team played in the shipping league under the name “Swyft Energy” and in their first season in the bottom division, division 2, they only dropped 4 points all season. 2 draws I think. The AUL probably want to avoid a repeat. Division 1 won’t be a walk in the (Glen) park for them.

I personally think premier could be down to 9 teams before Xmas Glenthorn struggling big time to get players in I think Colin Keane probably thought he’d drag more of castleview players up and with glen going back it didn’t help either for me theres no way in hell they should be in Premier

DanDeady at meeting they said it starts the week of the 24th, as only 15 out of 41 teams had paid their fees.
